What is TEDxEHL Lausanne ?

TED

TED is a nonprofit organisation devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics, from science to business to global issues, in more than 100 languages.

TEDx

TEDx events are independently organized TED events. "x" stands for independently organized.

TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis, under a free license from TED.

TEDxEHL Lausanne

Now in its 6th edition, TEDxEHL Lausanne is a student-run TEDx event at Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, one of the world's leading hospitality management schools. Founded in 2020 by a group of EHL students, the committee was built on a simple conviction: that a school training tomorrow's global leaders should also be a place where ideas are challenged and shared.

Each year, TEDxEHL Lausanne brings together 10 speakers from across disciplines, from technology to the arts, for a 2-hour event held in the Aula, right at the heart of EHL's campus in Lausanne. The event is open to students, alumni, professionals, and the wider public.

This year's theme, Expectations vs Reality, invites speakers and audiences to examine the gap between what we imagine and what we actually encounter in our careers, our relationships, and ourselves.

Our mission

To spark meaningful conversations at the intersection of hospitality, business and society, by giving a platform to ideas that challenge convention and inspire action.

One stage. Infinite perspectives.

TEDxEHL Lausanne is an independently organized TED event.
